A seven day safari to explore the Northern parks of Tanzania. You trip starts with the Ngorongoro Crater often described as the ‘ eighth’ wonder of the world, a visit Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries, to the endless plains of the Serengeti and Tarangire with its high concentrations of elephants, contrasting vegetation, gently undulating hills, unrivalled birdlife and its beautiful baobab trees.

Day 1 - Ngorongoro
This tour begins in Arusha town. You will be met by your safari guide who will transfer you to Impala Hotel for lunch. Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands to your lodge situated on the rim of the crater. The crater covers over 102 square miles (250 square kilometres) of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Day 2 - Ngorongoro
Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.

Day 3 - Serengeti
After breakfast drive to Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue to Serengeti National Park to arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable - from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Afternoon game drive. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge

Day 4 - Serengeti
Breakfast at your lodge. Morning and afternoon game drives. More than two million wildebeest, Thompson’s gazelle and zebra gather during the migration, attracting a great deal of attention from their predators such as lion, hyena, cheetah and leopard. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge

Day 5 - Tarangire
After breakfast traverse via Ngorongoro to Tarangire with a picnic lunch enroute. You will arrive at your lodge in time for dinner as you will do a game drive enroute to your lodge. Overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Day 6 - Tarangire
Breakfast at your lodge. It is vast numbers of the ancient baobab trees that first captures your eye. This park not only has big game but is also a focus for over 350 species of birds Morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Day 7 - Depart
After breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch at Impala Hotel.
